The Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC) offers free legal assistance from its offices in Box Hill and Boronia during the day, at night and also at various outreach locations across the East, with the priority being given to those who are disadvantaged. In addition to direct legal services, the ECLC also undertakes Community Development activities which aim to empower clients, workers and the general community. The ECLC provides support through projects and partnerships, and raises community awareness of key legal issues through workshops, media, events and publications.

The ECLC has a small staff team and over 100 volunteers. The ECLC is located in the Eastern region of Melbourne and serves the Cities of Whitehorse, Boroondara, Manningham, Maroondah, Knox and the Shire of Yarra Ranges.
